Westbridge Foods is delighted to be supporting two of the U.K.’s most promising young cyclists, Sophie Fennell and Dave Creber.
They have been training in Spain ahead of the National MTB series.
Sophie finished 6th in the first Expert class race of the season at Sherwood Pines, followed by an impressive 3rd place in a field of over 40 women at the Builth Wells 50k Endurance race, the first in the mountain bike marathon series. In the National round 2 in Plymouth, she was caught up in a crash going into the first technical section and was unable to complete the race.
Dave also competed at Sherwood Pines in the Expert class, taking second place on an extremely muddy course.
He then finished in the top 3 at the Builth Wells MTB Marathon series event.
A week later, in the 2nd round of the National XC series at Newnham Park, Plymouth, he led after 5 laps and
won comfortably by over two minutes.
Dave will be flying to Germany in May for the KMC Bundesliga (German National Series), competing with riders
from around Europe in the under 23 category. After more UK rounds, he will ride in the BMC Racing cup in Switzerland.
